Latest on the Remnant Academy/Church Rift

Staff from the recentlyclosed Remnant Academy daycare said they were locked out of the building while trying to move out last week. Leticia Fonville, director of The Remnant Academy (TRA), said Pastor Kolbe Hill of The Remnant Church (TRC) changed the locks to the building on Wednesday, June 5.

The American Legion Post No. 102 and the American Legion AuxiliaryUnitNo.102will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, June 12 at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. Members are encouraged to attend to discuss regular business matters. Flag Day and Women in the Military will be recognized by the Post. New potential members are invited to attend. A light meal will be served.

Drabek on SAU Spring Dean’s List

Abegayle M. Drabek earned a 3.5 GPA or higher in the spring 2024 semester, securing a reputable position on Southern Arkansas University’s Dean’s List.

Drabek is a sophomore Animal Science major from La Grange.
