Animal Shelter Update

As of Sept. 14, the total intake for 2024 for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1232: 542 dogs and 690 cats in need. As of Sept. 14, the shelter has 105 animals in care: 39 dogs/66 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

The shelter offers a discount voucher program to the citizens of Fayette County for the spay/neuter of family pets.
