Czech Out the Fun at Heritage Fest & Muziky, Oct. 18-19 in LG

The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange will host the 12th annual Heritage Fest & Muziky on Oct. 18 and 19. The Festival will begin on Friday evening on the terrace in front of the Main Center and TCHCC’s famous homemade chicken and dumplings will be served while it lasts in the Hanslik Banquet Hall beginning at 5:30 p.m. The KJT Octoberfest on the Deck will begin at 4:30 p.m. with music by the Dujka Brothers from 6-9:30 p.m. Mark and John Dujka have been making music together for over 36 years and have several acknowledgements to their name. Bring your lawn chairs, but leave your coolers at home, please.

Sacred Heart Altar Society Meets

The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, Sept. 9 in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Parish Center. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the standard reports provided by the secretary and assistant treasurer. Eight thank you cards were read to members in appreciation for remembrances received. Sixteen ladies attended the meeting.

Fall Early Childhood Education Conference Nov. 2 in Cuero

A Fall Multi-County Early Childhood Education Conference hosted by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices of Colorado, DeWitt, Fayette, Gonzales and Lavaca Counties is set for Saturday. Nov. 2, The event will be held at the Anne Friar Thomas Homemaking Building, 501 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Cuero, from 8 a.m - 2:30 p.m.
