South Lee County VFD Selling BBQ Chickens Oct. 27

The South Lee Country Volunteer Fire Department will have barbecue chicken to go only on Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Serbin picnic grounds from 10 a.m.-noon. The cost is $12 per chicken, sauce is $3, and sides of noodles, pinto beans and potato salad are $3 each. To order, contact the church office at (979) 3669650 by Monday, Oct. 21.

The Stanzel Family Foundation continues its commitment to fostering an educated community by providing support to the Alliance for College & Career Student Success (ACCSS). The grant will specifically aid the organization’s ACCSS 2.0 Special Projects, a bold initiative to pivot towards holistic post-secondary and career planning and success for all students.

AMEN Serves Over 300 Families in September

The AMEN Food Pantry continues to serve large numbers. The call for assistance from the community to assist with providing food was excellent and thanks to all that assisted with the food shortage.
