Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5.
Accident
On Oct. 3, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 25 block of N. Kessler for an 18 wheeler accident in the parking lot.
Civil Matter
On Sept. 30, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 300 block of College for a civil stand by.
On Sept. 30, Officer Byron Powe was dispatched to the 300 block of College for a civil matter.
On Oct. 2, Svatek responded to the 600 block of Upton for a civil matter.
Disturbance
Sept. 29, Vincent was dispatched to the 300 block of College for a possible disturbance.
On Oct. 3, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 300 block of Summit for a verbal disturbance between multiple people and the issue was over a vehicle.
On Oct. 5, Officer Jesus Alvarez was dispatched to the 700 block of Kallus for a disturbance possibly involving a weapon.
911 Hang Up
On Sept. 29, Vincent responded to the 1100 block of Summit for a 911 hang-up that sounded like a disturbance. Upon arrival officer found the caller intoxicated and was informed this is not a reason to call 911.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Sept. 29, Svatek responded to the 500 block of Anderson for a suspicious vehicle in the alley.
Traffic Stop
On Sept. 30, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver was going 52 in a 35. Driver received a citation.

On Oct. 1, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 35 in a 25. Driver received a citation.
On Oct. 2, Svatek stopped a driver in the 2100 block of Summit for a defective tail light and a brake light that was not working. The driver did not have a valid driver’s license and the passenger had an active warrant. Passenger was taken into custody and driver received a citation for expired driver’s license.
On Oct. 2, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 1000 block of Kessler for speeding. Driver received a warning.
On Oct. 3, Krenek stopped a driver in the 400 block of Bucek for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.
On Oct. 3, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 80 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver received citations for no driver’s license and speeding in a school zone.
On Oct. 3, Krenek stopped a driver in the 500 block of College for speeding in a school zone. A citation was issued.
On Oct. 3, Vincent stopped a driver pulling a trailer at Hwy. 77 and Hwy. 90 for running a red light. Driver issued a citation.
On Oct. 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 52 in a 25. Driver issued a citation.
