The Fayette County Elections Office is asking all voters to be mindful about the following information before appearing to vote in the upcoming November 5 election. All polling places (early and election day) will be posted with “Distance Markers” 100 feet from the entrance to protect voters from electioneering as outlined in the Texas Election Code, sections 32.075, 61.003, 81.002 and 85.036.

In a significant boost to local education and community spirit, the THRIVE Mentoring Program is set to expand its reach across Fayette County schools. Launched in 2017 through a collaborative effort by the Shorthorns Forever Association, Schulenburg ISD, the Stanzel Family Foundation, and local businesses, the THRIVE program has established itself as a beacon of hope and support for students in the area. Now, backed by the Green Door Council for Workforce Development and Education, a program of the Fayette Community Foundation, the initiative is poised to make an even greater impact.

The annual Reformation Fest for the Tri-County area of Lavaca, Fayette and Colorado Counties will be hosted by Faith Lutheran Church, 615 South Eagle in Weimar, with festivities beginning at 4 p.m. Musical entertainment is provided by the band Kist By Grace.
