Stanzel Museum Announces Dale Kirn Summer STEM Series

Get ready for a summer full of learning, exploration, and adventure at the first-ever Dale Kirn Summer STEM Series, featuring the incredible Science Heroes and the Lone Star Flight Museum. This summer, kids and teens of all ages will have the chance to dive into the fascinating world of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) at the Old Stanzel Factory Building in Schulenburg.

Fayetteville Lions Club to Hold Large Garage Sale March 22

The Fayetteville Lions Club is having a huge garage sale to raise money for scholarships. This annual event will take place from 7 a.m.-noon, Saturday, March 22 in the old firehouse on the historic courthouse square in Fayetteville. There will also be a preview party from 4-6 p.m., Friday, March 10. Admission to the party is $20 per person and includes margaritas.

For those passionate about gardening, this season brings a flurry of activity as vegetable gardens come to life, with plants and seeds planted and herbs and perennials trimmed to prepare for new growth.

Cyber Attack Shuts Down County Computer Systems

The Fayette County Judge’s Office released a statement last Thursday about an “incident” within the County government’s computer network. Sources familiar with the situation told the Record that the County experienced a cyber attack.
