Fayetteville Lions Club to Hold Large Garage Sale March 22

The Fayetteville Lions Club is having a huge garage sale to raise money for scholarships. This annual event will take place from 7 a.m.-noon, Saturday, March 22 in the old firehouse on the historic courthouse square in Fayetteville. There will also be a preview party from 4-6 p.m., Friday, March 10. Admission to the party is $20 per person and includes margaritas.

Organizer Sandra Borne said, “This is the third year to include a preview party, and it’s very popular with resellers.”

The items that do not sell will be donated to Habitat Home Supply in Schulenburg and Second Chance in La Grange. “In addition to being a great fundraising event for the Fayetteville Lions Club, donating leftovers to Habitat Home Supply and Second Chance is a great way to support other Fayette County nonprofits,” stated Borne.

Items for sale include household items, furniture, home décor, toys, antiques, etc., and proceeds benefit the Fayetteville Lions Club scholarship fund. If you are interested in donating items to the sale or would like more information on the garage sale, please call Borne at (512) 971-3901.
