Weimar Knights of Columbus Donate to Holy Rosary Church Rebuilding Fund

The Weimar Knights of Columbus and the Weimar Catholic Daughters donated $6,000 to the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn. The proceeds, which came from a drive-thru dinner, were deposited into the Matching Funds Campaign account at Fayette Savings Bank for the benefit of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn rebuilding fund.

Bluebonnet Electric Reports Increase In Phone-Payment Scam Attempts

Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative members recently reported an increase in attempted phone scams by people claiming to represent Bluebonnet. The fraudulent callers have told co-op members that their power will be disconnected within 30 minutes unless they make an immediate payment over the phone.

St. John Lutheran Christmas Dinner Sunday

St. John Lutheran of Rutersville will have its Christmas Dinner on Sunday, Dec. 11 following the 10 a.m. worship. A fried chicken meal will be served. Members are asked to provide deserts. WELCA of Rutersville has donated a quilt for the silent auction.

Faith Lutheran Christmas Concert Dec. 13

Faith Lutheran High School will present a Christmas concert, “Faith at Christmas” on Tuesday Dec. 13 at 7 p.m. at FLHS. The program will include a collection of choir pieces, handbell pieces, hymns, scripture readings and more. Refreshments will be served following the program. Everyone is invited to attend. The event will also be live streamed on Facebook for those who prefer to enjoy the sounds of Christmas from home.
