Beginner quilt-makers gathered at the Texas Quilt Museum (TQM) for a one-week Kids Quilting Camp that took place in collaboration with ARTS for Rural Texas. Eight young ladies and one young man were guided by teachers, Laurie Talbert, and JoAnn Gore, with help from Ashton Kettler and Makenna Emmel; and together, they created a Nine Patch Quilt-As-You-Go” quilt. They enjoyed their own special exhibit on Friday, June 13.

The Kids Quilt Camp was so popular that two more weeklong Quilt Camps are scheduled for July 21 – 25 at TQM. For more information on other Summer Art Camps for kids at TQM, or to register for Quilt Camp, go to www.TexasQuiltMuseum.org.
