Round Top City-Wide Garage Sale this Weekend
The very first city-wide community garage sale will be this Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28 starting at 8 a.m. each day. Maps are available online at exploreroundtop. com.
July 4-5 in Round Top
Round Top’s 175th Fourth of July Celebration kicks-off at 10 a.m. July 4 The parade will start with the firing of the cannon at 10:30 a.m. Following the parade, the Rifle Hall has a barbeque brisket and sausage meal for $16 per plate. Drive-thru is available. Barbecue brisket, pork, and sausage by the pound will be available at the pit as meat to-go, but you must pre-order by calling (979) 966-7139. All-day music by Round Top Brass Band, Round Top Jam Session, and Cool Freddie and the Crew.
The Halles is hosting a two-day celebration July 4 and 5. The “Carolyn’s” food truck will have elevated breakfast and lunch offerings, “Sage Roots Cocktails” will feature a patriotic cocktail in addition to your favorite classics, and Matt Campuzano will have Asian Tappas in the evening. A mixology class with Sage Roots and a raffle by Double D Ranch will raise proceeds for the Round Top – Warrenton Volunteer Fire Department. There will also be live music by Jackson Petty, a movie curated by the Round Top Film Festival, cornhole, a “Cowboy Pool”, a pool table and more. For details and a full schedule visit roundtop.com.
Friday night from 6-9 p.m. join Ellis Motel for Star Spangled Sushi. Enjoy Japanese beer, sake, and resh hand rolled sushi from “Roll With It.”

Round Top Family Library
Wednesday, July 2 the Brenham Mobile Museum will be at the library from 1-3 p.m. This fun and educational experience includes a wind tunnel, earthquake table, robots, giant magnet tile, play towns, circuit building, and more.
FYI Presents…
The next FYI presents… is set for Thursday, July 10 at 7 p.m. Bill “Brownie” Brown, was the play-by-play voice for the World Champion Houston Astros for 30 years. He was inducted into the Astros Media Wall of Honor in 2011, the Texas baseball Hall of Fame in 2014, and the Astros Hall of Fame in 2023. Festival Hill
Enjoy beautiful music each weekday at Festival Hill, as part of the 2025 Round Top Music Festival. Master Class is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. These performances are held weekdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Edythe Bates Old Chapel. Monday, June 30 - Juliette Herlin, cello; Wednesday, July 2 - Gretchen Pusch, flute; Thursday, July 3 - Kate Caliendo, french horn; Friday, July 4 - Brett Shurtliffe, double bass. Also on Friday is the Young Artist Chamber Music Groups at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 5 is “Piano Galore!” at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Chamber Music Concert at 3:30 p.m., and the Texas Festival Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. in the Festival Concert Hall. BLC Ruth Circle met Thursday, June 5 at 9:30 a.m. Jeanette Schoenst served refreshments. Members of Ruth Circle who were present included Julie Wantland, Pearlie Wagner, Maydelle Copeland, Joys Baird, Sedalia Ullrich, Sherry Pennington, and Jeanette Schoenst.
The group will be studying from Gather Magazine’s Summer 2025 Bible Study series titled “Where two or more are gathered: Flourishing in relationships.” For June, Session One was titled “Relationships that form us.” Pastor John David Nedbalek lead the group by illustrating with a family genogram, which is a visual representation of a family tree that includes not only basic family relationships but also details about emotional and social interactions across multiple generations. Genograms help us to understand how we each personally deal with relationships in our lives and how we function in those relationships.
Ruth Circle will delay meeting one week due to Fourth of July, and will meet again instead on Thursday, July 10, at 9:30 a.m. Minutes submitted by Sherry Pennington.
St. Paul Lutheran Church St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby services are at 8 a.m. Fellowship, coffee, and Sunday School follow at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday at 2 p.m. Quilting is held the third Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
St. John’s Lutheran
St. John’s is part of the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. They meet for Sunday Worship at 8:30 a.m.
RT Christian Fellowship Round Top Church meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service.
St. Cecilia’s Episcopal Church Saint Cecilia’s Round Top, a creative faith community, will host its first-ever “Prayer for America” patriotic concert and worship celebration on Sunday, July 6 at The Compound (Peck Barn), 2550 SH 237, Round Top. All are invited for a Patriotic Concert at 10:15 a.m. and a Worship Service at 10:30 a.m.
A group of All-Star musicians will participate including Crispin Schroeder, David Pulkingham, Joey McGee, Ellen Melissa Story, Ashley Monical, Stephen Mansolo, Bobby McDonald, and Rob Kazenel. The concert and service will feature songs by Joni Mitchell, John Denver, Dr. John, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Woody Guthrie, Ray Charles, Faith Hill, Marvin Gaye and John Mellencamp.
