The Winchester Area Volunteer Fire Department fundraiser is fast approaching. Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 25 to come out to the St. Michael’s Park Pavilion in downtown Winchester for a Fish Fry dinner between 5-7 p.m. The meal is dine in or carry out and is a free will donation.

The Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department (SVFD) put out a house fire on FM 1579 east of town on Tuesday, July 14. The home belonged to Judy Kubenka, and a benefit fund has been set up to assist in repairs.
