Benefit Sept. 19 to Support Cancer Survivor Tara Pietsch

There will be a benefit for Tara Pietsch, chondroblastic osteosarcoma cancer survivor, on Sunday, Sept. 19 at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall. Doors open at 4 p.m. There will be a live auction starting at 6:30 p.m., a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, raffle tickets are available at $20 each or 3 for $50, and music provided by Latham Staal.

The dinner of pulled pork will served from 4-6 p.m. for $15 a plate and catered by Pietsch Family BBQ. Advanced tickets are preferred. The meal includes pulled pork, green beans, buttered potatoes, pickle and a cookie. There will be a walk up, drive through and dine in line.

Shared Lutheran Ministry 

 Pastor Parker will lead service in Ellinger on Sunday, Sept. 13 in Ellinger and Pastor Karen will lead service on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Sunday School, for ages Pre-K through 6th grade, will be in Rutersville on Sunday, Sept. 13 from 3-5 p.m.

The Communion Milestone Class will be on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 1:30 p.m. for children who are in second grade or older.

The Waldeck Mobile Food Pantry will be at the Waldeck Church on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m.

Thinking about becoming a member of one of the four churches? A lunch will be held in Ellinger on Sunday, Sept. 27 at noon. If you are interested, please call Phyllis at the church office in Warrenton.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church 

St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mass is Sunday at 8 a.m.

Brethren Church 

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.

Ellinger Sewer and Water 

Ellinger Sewer and Water will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. at the fire station.
