Anthony “Tony” and Tracye Jones of La Grange are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Alyssa Myriah Jones to Chandler Aaron Lacy. Alyssa is the granddaughter of the late Clarence Richter of Winchester, Betty Richter and husband Donald Noack of Winchester, Suann Jones of Round Rock and the late Milton “Ed” Jones and Halina Jones of Round Rock. Alyssa received her bachelor of arts in sociology specialized in criminal justice from Texas Lutheran University and is working on her master of business administration for criminal justice management through Lamar University. She is currently a community supervision officer for Waller County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. Chandler is the son of Ken and Denise Zimostrad of San Antonio and Charles IV and Jennifer Lacy of Lakeland, Fla. He is the grandson of Jack and Joanie Huber of San Antonio, Charles III and Ellen Lacy of Houston, Bud and Susie Ramsey of Abilene and the late Allen and Nancy Melancon of Louisiana; and great grandson of Patsy Lacy of Abilene. Chandler is a biomedical technician for EMSAR for the Houston region. The couple plans to wed on Oct. 3 in Winchester.

Water Restrictions Due to the recent rain and two water wells being back in service, La Grange Utilities has lifted the restrictions that were implemented in Phase II of the Drought Contingency Plan.
