Dr. Tim Bolton, D.C. grew up in La Grange and has recently returned to Fayette County to provide chiropractic services in his hometown. His new practice is called Curbside Chiropractic and Wellness, and the unique practice model allows him to make house calls instead of seeing patients in a traditional office setting. With “curbside” service, Dr. Bolton is able to travel to the patient and provide chiropractic care in their home or place of work.

Recently, the Pin Oak Cemetery Association met and had a work day at the historic cemetery. There were 11 people who came out to help clean up and aid in the preservation of the cemetery. They mowed, weeded and cleaned tombstones. Charles and Gayla Hoffman began cleaning some of the oldest tombstones.

The Gideon Lincecum Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists is offering their 2021 training class for new Master Naturalists. The Texas Master Naturalist Program’s mission is to develop a corps of wellinformed volunteers to provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas.

In Friday’s edition we had information from Flatonia ISD that they will soon be ending remote instruction. Fayetteville and Round Top-Carmine ISD are also eliminating remote instruction.

A multi-county community wellness program, Holiday Hold’em will begin soon, states Sally Garrett, County Extension Agent - Family & Community Health. This free online challenge is designed to encourage participants to gain no more than two pounds during the holiday season. Austin and Fayette Counties will be offering this program starting on Sunday, Nov. 22, and will continue through Jan. 4, 2021.

The Bastrop Advertiser • The city of Bastrop will move forward with a planned skate park at Fisherman’s Park despite a significant cost increase to the project. After receiving construction bids for the approximately 5,000 square-foot skate park in February, $290,000 was budgeted for the construction project, which was awarded to Artisan Concrete Services.
