Local’s Information Being Used to File for Unemployment in New York

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports activities of Fayette County Sheriff Deputies for the month of November 2020. Deputy Ben Wilson responded to an address off of FM 3233 for a reported stolen vehicle. A suspect was identified and the vehicle was recovered in Houston with one person arrested. Wilson also responded to an address off of Cozy Corner Road where a juvenile runaway female was reportedly located. Wilson arrived at the location and the runaway was recovered and returned to the rightful guardians.

Holy Smokers Donate to AMEN

St. James Episcopal Church Holy Smokers Men’s Club made a $1,000 Christmas donation to the AMEN Food Pantry. The Holy Smokers donated a total of $5,000 during the Christmas season to six different Fayette County charities. Shown is Garry Schellberg AMEN chief financial officer accepting the check.
