Police Respond After Oil Thrown on Vehicle, Driveway
Police Chief David Gilbreath reports the following incidents his department responded to the week of Dec. 6-13.
Oil Thrown?
Dec. 9, Patrolman Robin Emmons responded to the 900 block of E. Fannin where an unknown suspect poured oil products on the victim’s vehicle and driveway.
Accident
Dec. 7, Patrolman Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of E Upper Line for a minor accident.
Dec. 10, Patrolman John Wostarek was dispatched to the 400 block of E. Travis for a minor accident. Officer issued blue forms to both subjects.
Alarm
Dec. 9, Patrolman Curtis Zwahr responded to the 800 block of E. Travis for an alarm. Officer found the business to be secure.
Dec. 11, Patrolman David Mohr received a call of a hold up alarm in the 100 block of W. Colorado and found it was a false alarm.
Agency Assist
Dec. 12, Mohr assisted the La Grange Volunteer Fire Department with a fire alarm call. Officer met with homeowner and it was a false alarm.
Animal Complaint
Dec. 7, Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on a dog in the 400 block of W. Colorado. The dog had food and water.
Dec. 8, Ahlschlager put a dog back in a yard in the 700 block of E. Fannin.
Civil Matter
Dec. 12, Mohr responded to the 500 block of E. Pecan for a civil matter.
Criminal Mischief
Dec. 7, Mohr was dispatched to the 900 block of Mode Lane for criminal mischief to a baseball field. Officer took report.
Discharging A Fire Arm
Dec. 12, Sgt. Travis Anderson received a call in regard to a possible discharge of a firearm in the 800 block of S. Vail. Officer checked the area but heard nothing and observed no damage to anything. Officer spoke to complainant who stated that it sounded like at least five shots were fired and he thought that they had come from the area across the river. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office also received a call for discharging a firearm in the area but found nothing. No injury, no damage, and the call was cleared.
Family Violence
Dec. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 300 block of Woodhollow for family violence. Parties were separated for the night.
Harassment
Dec. 7, Anderson received a call in regard to a possible harassment in the 700 block of E. Travis.
Missing Child
Dec. 12, Currington was dispatched to the 500 block of W. Lower Line in reference to two missing juveniles that had been missing for about an hour. Officer took information and the juveniles were located.
Reckless Driving
Dec. 6, Patrolman Mitchell Maxwell was dispatched to the 300 block of S. Main in regard to property damage. Caller stated two vehicles were racing and one hit his mailbox.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
Dec. 8, Zwahr spoke with a subject in the 600 block of E. Eblin in regard to a suspicious person.
Dec. 8, Mohr received a call of two males in hoodies walking in the parking lot in the 500 block of Cindy Lane. Officer arrived and found that their vehicle was broken down and needed help. Officer assisted in finding help.
Dec. 8, Mohr received a call of a suspicious person in the 400 block of N. Jefferson. Officer arrived and located family to pick up the individual.
Dec. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Pearl in regard to a suspicious vehicle. Officer arrived on location and located the vehicle and spoke with female subject who stated that she was parking her vehicle there for the night.
Dec. 11, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe for a suspicious subject refusing to leave. Officer spoke to subject and advised him to leave.
Theft
Dec. 12, Mohr received a call to contact complainant in the 500 block of S. Madison in reference to a theft.
Dec. 12, Zwahr spoke with a subject in the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a food stamp card.
Verbal Dispute
Dec. 6, Zwahr responded to a verbal dispute in the 400 block of Sherwood Lane. Subjects would separate for the evening.
Dec. 8, Currington was dispatched to the 900 block of E. Eblin for a verbal dispute. Subject just wanted the other subject to leave and subject left.
Warrant Arrest
Dec. 7, Mohr received a call of a wanted subject at the adult probation in the 200 block of N. Main. Officer arrived and ex ecuted warrant.
Welfare Check
Dec. 7, Currington was dispatched to the 400 block of S. Jefferson to check on subject. The subject was fine and did not want any help.
Dec. 8, Mohr received a call of a welfare concern in the 200 block of Northpointe. Officer arrived and found subject in good health.
Dec. 13, Currington checked on a subject parked in the parking lot of a store in the 100 block of E. Travis. Subject was asleep and advised he was tired and pulled over. Subject had his wife come and get him.
Miscellaneous
Dec. 7, Mohr received a call to meet a complainant in the 100 block of Guy in reference to stolen or missing property. Officer arrived and was unable to locate the property.
Dec. 7, Anderson received a call from the 2600 block of Flameleaf in regard to identity theft.
Dec. 10, Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regard to a noise complaint.
Dec. 12, Currington was dispatched to One St. Mark’s Place for a loud unruly patient. Officer spoke with subject and he calmed down.
Dec. 13, Zwahr responded to loud noise in the 900 block of N. Franklin. Officer spoke with subjects who agreed to quiet down.
