Because of pandemic precautions, the Sacred Heart School annual Christmas Program was conducted a little differently this year. Second Chance Emporium recently donated $5,845 to St. Mark’s Medical Center Rehabilitation Department to purchase an electrotherapy/ultrasound device and a hi/low power table to be used for out-patient physical therapy. Ellinger Meeting The first meeting of the City of Ellinger is Monday, Dec. 21 at the Ellinger Chamber dining hall at 6 p.m.

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber announced Tuesday, Dec. 16, that he will appoint Drew Brossmann to serve the unexpired term of Pct. 4 Commissioner Tom Muras, who retires at the end of this month. Muras’ term ends in 2022.

A juvenile passenger died in a wreck on State Highway 237 Monday morning, Dec. 14.
