The Carmine Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting at the Busted Oaks Cellars located at 6195 Round Top Rd. near Hwy. 290 west of Carmine. This vineyard and beautiful grounds are owned by Patrick & Sherry Cooke. Their son Kevin Cooke is often seen working on the grounds also. Interviews Sought to Help Celebrate Holy Cross 150 Anniversary

The 150th Anniversary Committee at Holy Cross Lutheran is looking for people who would be willing to be interviewed about the history of Holy Cross and the Warda community for the 150th Anniversary book/video. Interviews are flexible and will be scheduled at a location, time and date that is convenient for you. Ellinger Celebrates Flag Day

Ellinger Mayor Matt Mikulenka recently signed a proclamation declaring June 14 as Flag Day in Ellinger. Members of KJZT Annunciation #41 in Ellinger, a group that greatly supports Flag Day, were on hand for the signing. FSA Accepting Nominations For County Committee Members

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) began accepting nominations for county committee members on June 15. Elections will occur in certain Local Administrative Areas (LAA) for these members who make important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. All nomination forms for the 2021 election must be postmarked or received in the local FSA office by Aug. 2.
