Fayetteville ISD Adds New Classrooms

Fayetteville ISD Adds New Classrooms
The Fayetteville High School Baseball State Champs were honored at the recent FISD school board meeting.

The old cafetorium at FISD now has two recently added classrooms to address the increase in enrollment. Since Dr. Harvey took on the role of superintendent seven years ago, long-term plans for improved facilities and new programs have been executed, resulting in steady growth over the past few years.

City-Wide Garage Sale

The annual City-Wide Garage Sale on Saturday, July 10 draws people from all around the county. Shoppers can start before the heat sets in. The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce event begins at 7 a.m. and is over by noon. The Chamber is advertising the garage sale through ads and stories in The Record, radio ads, emails, social media and roadside banners on State Highway 71. If you send in your information before July 1, Fayetteville residents participating can be included on the free map showing all locations. The maps will be distributed around town the week before and on the day of the sale. To be included on the City-Wide Garage Sale map, email your name and address to info@greaterfayettevillechamber.org before the deadline.

Two non-profits will join in the sale on the town square. The Fayetteville Lions Club will be selling donated items to benefit area scholarships.
