Ellinger VFD Responds to Accidents, Fire

The Ellinger VFD responded to several 911 calls recently. On Jan. 6, the VFD responded to a one vehicle roll over at FM 955 and Schumacher Rd. On Jan. 8, firemen were dispatched to a two vehicle accident at FM 955 and Biegel Rd., and on Jan. 9 at 11:59 p.m. firemen responded to a structure fire on East Fayette St. Luckily there was just a problem with the wood heater.

Kubala Recognized For Leadership In Shelby

On Jan. 3, Jerry Kubala was presented a wooden clock with the American Legion emblem on it for his outstanding leadership as Commander of Post 602 in Shelby.
