Lady Leps Clinch Soccer Playoff Spot, LG Boys Can Join Them with a Win Monday

La Grange Lady Leps Varsity Soccer put its spring break on hold Monday to secure a gritty 1-0 victory over the Giddings Lady Buffs at Leopard Stadium. The win marks a season sweep of its rivals and locks up the Lady Leps’ position for the playoffs. The Lady Leps have won 14 of their last 17 matches and improved to 12-3 in district play.

Baseball/Softball Round-Up

Leps Beat Lexington The La Grange baseball team improved to 7-5 overall with a 13-0 victory at Lexington Tuesday. Tristan Ulrich pitched a complete game two-hitter with 10 strikeouts.

Lions Reach the Final Four

Fayetteville Surges Past Brookeland to Make Basketball State Semis The Fayetteville Lions basketball team roared into the state’s Final Four with a dominating state quarterfinal victory Friday. The Lions broke open a close game with a strong third quarter to beat Brookeland 73-56 Friday at Cleveland High School.

LHS Shines at Bellville Track Meet

The La Grange track team competed at Bellville’s Archie Seals Relays last week. Here’s the medalist winners from LHS: • Quade Brothers and Cole Collier placed first and second respectively in the boys pole vault, clearing 13 and 12 feet.

Lady Leps Varsity Soccer Defeats Manor New Tech 3-2 The La Grange Lady Leps Varsity Soccer team secured a 3-2 win over Manor New Tech (MNT) at Leopard Stadium on Friday. With the win, the Lady Leps Varsity has won 13 of its last 16 matches and is 11-3 in district play.

Leps Get Pitching Gems from Jobb, Ehler

The La Grange baseball team improved to 6-5 this season with a pair of victories at their home tournament last week. The Leps defeated New Waverly 5-2 on the strength of a complete game pitching performance by Colt Jobb, who tossed seven innings of five-hit, two-run ball.

LG Boys Golf Team Wins at Columbus

La Grange boys varsity golf team won the Columbus tournament March 3 shooting a season low 326 Individual scores Adrian Meneses 74 (1st) Cohen Conard 81 (2nd) Dylan Kutchka 84 Grady Kocian 87 Collin Muesse 88 Boys JV#1 Team did not place as this was a varsity tournament but shot a score of 386.
