Leps Get Pitching Gems from Jobb, Ehler

The La Grange baseball team improved to 6-5 this season with a pair of victories at their home tournament last week.

The Leps defeated New Waverly 5-2 on the strength of a complete game pitching performance by Colt Jobb, who tossed seven innings of five-hit, two-run ball. Howard Holmes and Ryder Klesel each doubled and drove in runs in that game.

La Grange also beat Sealy 6-0. Jonah Ehler threw a complete game three-hitter with nine strikeouts.

Holmes and Dalton Janacek each had two hits in that game. Janacek drove in two runs, and Klesel hit another double.

The Leps are back in action over Spring Break this week, playing at Lexington Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. and then back home Wednesday at 11 a.m. against East Bernard.

District plat starts for the Leps Friday March 20 at home against Bellville.
