Flatonia Goes 3-1 at Their Home Softball Tournament

The Lady Bulldogs finished the Mike Schulze Memorial Softball Classic last with a record of 3-1.

Thursday the Lady Bulldogs beat Shiner St. Paul 6-5 and Brazos 19-0.

In that win over St. Paul Brynlee Zimmerman had three hits and Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game.

In the win over Brazos Trussell and Presley Cliffe combined to throw a no-hitter. Zimmerman, Trussell, Cliffe and Emma Kosler all had two hits in that game.

On Friday the Lady Bulldogs defeated Luling JV 12-0 and Cliffe threw a no-hitter and Trussell homered.

In the tourney finale Flatonia lost to the Luling varsity 4-2. Kosler had two hits, and Trussell doubled.

The Lady Bulldogs will be back in action over Spring Break on Tuesday, March 10, in Bloomington at 6 p.m. and will be at home on Thursday March 12 against Louise at 6 p.m.
