The Carmine Lions Club inducted a new member on April 8 at their meeting at the Windmill Lodge. District Governor Lion Julius Bartek was the guest speaker and inducted Debbie Grabsky as the newest member into the club.

Please join the community in supporting and sustaining the services by our local Volunteer Fire Department. The annual fundraiser will raise monies through sales of raffle tickets and free will donations. The Carmine Volunteer Fire Department meets April 24 for drill night at 6 p.m. Mark your calendars for the annual Firemen’s Feast, which will be held on Sunday, July 20.

The Pin Oak Cemetery Association will be holding their clean up day and meeting on Saturday, Apil 26 from 9 a.m.-noon. Everyone who has some one laid to rest in Pin Oak are encouraged to come out and help keep this historic cemetery in good shape.

The Fayetteville Antique & Classic Car Show, hosted by the Fayetteville Lions Club, will be held this Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and is free to the public. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Free spectator parking is available.

Faith Lutheran High School will be presenting “The Spring Thing.” This will be a showcase of the students work in the fine arts department, including vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to join them on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

Attention high school students: you are invited to a screenwriting workshop hosted by Hollywood producers and screenwriters Skylar Schanen and Giovanni M. Porter.
