Faith Lutheran High Spring Showcase Set for May 7

Faith Lutheran High School will be presenting “The Spring Thing.” This will be a showcase of the students work in the fine arts department, including vocal, instrumental and handbell pieces. Everyone is invited to join them on Wednesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.

Mother’s Day BBQ Chickens The Couples Club at Holy Cross will have their annual BBQ Chickens on Mothers Day, May 11. Chickens are $14 and cups of sauce are $3. Pickup will be at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.noon. You can place your order by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333, the deadline to order is Monday, May 5.

Knox Scholarship Fund Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund Raffle tickets are now on sale. They will be raffling off two halves of an Angus/Wagyu calf, including processing. Only 100 tickets will be sold and two tickets will be drawn. Tickets are $100 each. Proceeds benefit the Amanda Knox Scholarship Fund and will be used to pay tuition for an incoming Faith Lutheran High School student. Drawing will be held April 27 with processing for the calf set for the end of May. Contact the church office for tickets at (979) 242-3333.

Applications are now being accepted for an academicbased scholarship from the Amanda (Zoch) Knox Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund will pay for the full tuition for an incoming 9th grade student of Faith Lutheran High School beginning in the Fall of 2025. Applications are due May 1, 2025 and are available from FLHS or from Cyndy Zoch at cyndy.zoch@gmail.com.

Wednesday Night Bible Study The Wednesday night Bible study group will resume their study on April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the family room at Holy Cross Church. For more information about this study, contact Cyndy Zoch at cyndy. zoch@gmail.com.

Game Day at Holy Cross The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday May 15 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served, there is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. (This is around the back side of the church.) No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.

Central Texas Food Truck The Central Texas Food Truck will be at Waldeck Lutheran Church on Saturday April 19 from 10-11 a.m., drive-thru only.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Wednesday Morning Bible Study Group meets at 11:30 a.m. They are studying the book of Galatians.

Holy Week Worship Services: Good Friday, April 18, 7 p.m. Saturday, April 19, Easter Vigil 7 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 20 Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. Youth breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Divine Service at 9 a.m. Easter Egg Hunt at 10:30 a.m. There will be an Easter photo backdrop for family photos set up in the Fellowship Hall on Easter Sunday.

The GEMS (Girls Embracing Mission Services) will meet on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m.
