Memorial Day Program Monday in Fayetteville

FOn Memorial Day Monday at 7 p.m. on the square, members of the Shelby American Legion are presenting another amazing program featuring some talented musicians to honor our local area veterans who have passed this year.

Little Lending Library in Muldoon to Receive New Books

M Little Lending Library Muldoon’s Little Lending Library is due to get twenty new adult books to expand the variety of all the adult readers of the area, when Smith-McMillan Chapter has its May meeting on the 17th at Muldoon. Mercantile.

KC Shrimp Boil Friday in Fayetteville

Friday night, the Fayetteville/ Ellinger KCs are holding The 25th Annual Fayetteville/ Ellinger KC Shrimp Boil under the pavilion at St. John’s Catholic Church. Happy Hour runs from 6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. Food will be served at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy shrimp and all the fixins, ice cold beer, live music featuring the Airplane Band, a Card Gun Raffle and a silent auction. Look for flyers all around town.

Round Top Family Library Hosting Self Defense Seminar May 24

Saturday, May 24 is a Security and Self Defense Seminar with instructor David McCall. Learn essential safety tips and techniques in this free seminar covering home security, travel precautions, and hand-to-hand defense. Topics include securing doors and windows, protecting valuables, vehicle safety, route planning, and carjacking response. The self-defense techniques are designed for women but are effective for anyone. This is highly recommended for students headed to college. Participants must be 16 years or older. On the first Friday in May Muldoon saw a wonderful much needed rain. Over five inches fell on that Friday evening and there have been a number of days since that have had some rain.
