Birdie is a beautiful black shepherd mix. She is people and dog friendly. She knows basic commands and weighs 55 pounds. Dolly is a bully mix with a highly energized personality. She does great with male dogs. She walks well and keeps her kennel clean. Dolly weighs 52 pounds. Please call the shelter to set up a meet and greet. Both dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed. Also, remember to remind your family & friends of our barn cat program.

The 29th Annual Herbal Forum and Plant Sale at Festival Hill will be March 15-16. This year’s theme is “Cultivating, Creating and Cooking with Herbs.” The plant sale is Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday’s events includes talks on Yarrow, the Herb of the Year, dyeing with plants, and on pathways for connecting nature with homegrown wellness.

The John Everett Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and the Robert Rankin No. 62 SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) recognized Bill and Elizabeth Clifford for their American flag display for March. Their house is located at 1176 CR 285, Weimar. Bill said he was an Army veteran and that they were proud and honored to fly the American flag. Easter Egg Hunt
Hop over for a fun-filled easter egg hunt to be held by The City of Fayetteville on Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. on the square. Kids aged up to 12 can hunt for candy-filled eggs and enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny. Donations are welcome and baked goodies will be available for sale. Bring a basket.
