Senior Connections invites you to join us for coffee, conversation and games on Monday the July 29. Our meal will have a Mexican flare. Tamales donated by Carolyn Moore will be paired with enchiladas, Spanish rice and black beans and corn salad by Senior Connections. Dessert will be donated by Carolyn Moore. Following our meal, the Lunch and Learn speaker will be Braden Kulhanic and Hometown Wellness. He will be sharing valuable health related information with the members. Following the program there will be bingo.

Shakespeare at Winedale is a program offered by the University of Texas at Austin. It began 54 years ago when Professor James B.Ayres, who was a professor in the English department and was teaching a class called “Shakespeare through Performance.”

Fayette County Area Go Texan Committee is happy to award 29 Scholarships to the 2024 graduating seniors in Fayette County. Students are selected based upon an application form submitted to the committee as well as being a Fayette County Resident. Thus, this year’s students were selected from Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Round Top-Carmine, Schulenburg, and Weimar High Schools.

If you live in Fayette County, chances are you know several of the kids set to perform this weekend in Fayette County Community Theatre’s play. Dozens of kids from ages five to 17 from all over the county and beyond will be part of the double feature of the prologue “Narnia Storybook” followed by “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.”
