Fayette County Area Go Texan Awards $65,000 in Scholarships

Fayette County Area Go Texan Committee is happy to award 29 Scholarships to the 2024 graduating seniors in Fayette County. Students are selected based upon an application form submitted to the committee as well as being a Fayette County Resident. Thus, this year’s students were selected from Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Round Top-Carmine, Schulenburg, and Weimar High Schools.

Net profits from fundraisers consisting of our annual Shrimpboil, held on the 4th Saturday of January and Steak Dinner and Dance, which is 4th Saturday in September, are designated for Scholarship Funding.

Congratulations to the following 2024 Seniors Fayetteville- Cooper Mau, Jeslyn Morales, Marissa Rohde, Kayme Schley, Cash Smith.

Flatonia – Sophia Almanza, Cale Janecka, Aaliyah Mendez, Aubree Mikulenka, Paden Mulholland, Duke Sodek, Addisan Wagner La Grange – Alivia Eindorf, Cody Krupala.

Round Top-Carmine – Mallory Krause, Kimberly Rohde, Magali Salinas Schulenburg – Kieryn Adams, Yahaira Guerro, Blake Helms, Brooke Redding – Daniel “Zeke” Vacek Memorial Scholarship, Rylee Sanchez, Ethan Steinhauser, Bryce Stoever, Keaton Walker, Riley Zapalac.

Weimar – Makinzie Jackson, Kelly Mcafee, Delaney Turlington The Fayette County Area Go Texan Committee, wants to also thank the community, and businesses for their continued support.
