Preserving the Harvest Workshop Set May 11

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office, Fayette County will offer a food preservation workshop called “Preserving the Harvest” on Saturday, May 11, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, La Grange.

St. John-Rutersville to Hold Maundy Thursday Services

Maundy Thursday worship for SLM will be at St. John in Rutersville at 6 p.m. No soup supper. Pastor Jen is presiding. Good Friday worship will be at St. John in Ellinger at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jen presiding. All are welcome. Easter service will be at all four churches at normal times.

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Junior Livestock Show 

Egg Hunt This Saturday in Fayetteville

Kids aged up to 12 years old will enjoy candy-filled eggs and a visit from the Easter Bunny at a fun-filled easter egg hunt this Saturday, March 23 at 9 a.m. on the square. 105th Birthday of American Legion Celebrated

At the regular monthly meeting of the H. J. Ehler American Legion Post 102, La Grange on 13 March 2024, the Post and its Auxiliary Unit enjoyed a presentation by Josh Vandever, Fayette County EMS Director, after which the members enjoyed delicious home-made stew cooked by J. Local Parents at Teachers Group ‘UnMasks’ Potential at the Historic Swiss Alp Dance Hall

Parents as Teachers of Rural South Central Texas (PAT) hosted their annual fundraising gala themed “UnMasking Potential with PAT” on Feb. 17. The event brought the community together who share a goal of supporting local families by “unmasking” the boundless potential within each child, especially during the most crucial early years of their lives.

Stray Gathering Cowboy Church Holding Easter Sunrise Service

Easter is fast approaching. The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is planning to hold special services for Easter. They will be starting off the day with a Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. to welcome the sun and remember the reason that we celebrate Easter. Following the early morning service breakfast will be served in the pavilion. Pastor Butch will bring the regular morning message at 10 a.m.
