Jenell Louise Freida (Braun) Jaster went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sept. 8, 2025. Jenell was born May 22, 1932 to Alfred and Thusnelda (Peters) Braun of Round Top. Jenell was baptized and confirmed in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top by Pastor Walter Kralik. Her confirmation verse was Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do thy will for thou art my God.” Thy spirit is good. Lead me into the land of uprightness.”

Gladys Mae (Vinklarek) Farek Holub, 90, of Moulton, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025 at Dornburg Hospice Center in Victoria.

A funeral service for Robert Bruening, Jr. is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sept. 14, 2025 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange (967 E. Colorado St.). A visitation with the family present will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the funeral service, also at the funeral home. Aprivate graveside service will be held on Sept. 15, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery.

Lucy Ann (Adamcik) Janda, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 5, surrounded by her family. She was born on Dec. 15, 1942, in La Grange, to Adolph and Henrietta (Muras) Adamcik.
