Phillip “Phil” Hergert, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in La Grange. Born June 13, 1934, in Bow, Wash., Phil’s journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a steadfast faith. He was 90 years old.

A Funeral Service for Floyd William Braun, 92 of Round Top, is scheduled for July 21, 2025 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m., with interment at Hills Cemetery in Round Top and a reception following at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine. A visitation will be held at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home on July 20, 2025 from 2-6 p.m. with the family present from 4-6 p.m.

Leopoldo Alberto Villarreal Jr. was called home to the Lord on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at the age of 84.

Lionso Palacios Soto, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Bastrop, at the age of 79. A visitation was held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 2 p.m.

Linda Ruth (Reddehase) Borgstedte passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband, Ted, and their children: Dr.

Round Top as well as numerous other venues. George’s years in the Navy and Jaycees gave him a great love of travel and was happiest on a cruise ship playing bridge.

Janetta Morris, 81, of La Grange, passed away June 26, 2025. Born January 6, 1944, in Cuero, TX, she had a long career with Atlantic Richfield and later operated Colorado Landing and co-owned “that little paper.” A devoted member of New Life Methodist Church, she served her community through the Chamber, City Council, and various boards. She is survived by her son Dayne Choate, grandchildren, and extended family. A memorial service will be held at New Life Methodist at 10 am Saturday, August 2, with a reception following.

Michael Charles Kulhanek, known affectionately as Mike by his friends and family, left this world on May 31, at the age of 78, in his home in Mullins Prairie, Texas. Born on September 11, 1946, in La Grange, Texas, Mike was a man of humor, intelligence, and an analytical mind that served him well throughout his life.

It has pleased Almighty God on July 4, 2025, to call into His presence Martin Lee Koopmann, Sr., 76, who, baptized in the name of the Triune God, trusted in Christ, whose tears are gone and whose sorrows have been turned into joy. We pray that God will comfort those who mourn his death with the sure and certain hope of the resurrection
