Lee AlethaAnne Lee, 76, of La Grange, passed away on April 3, 2024 in Houston. She was born on April 16, 1947 in Riverside, Calif.

Janie Lena (Kana) Kristynik, 90 of Garwood, passed away on March 30, 2024. She was born on June 22, 1933, at Swiss Alp in Fayette County to Emil and Ella (Barta) Kana. The family moved to the Kana homestead near Hostyn when Janie was one-year-old. She attended Radhost School.

Rae Elizabeth (Coenen) Brugger, cherished by many as ‘Nana’ and ‘Aunt Rae’, passed away on March 21, 2024, in La Grange. Born on May 5, 1944, in Missouri, Rae’s life was a testament to enduring and unconditional love.

Anita Albina Proske, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at the age of 88 in La Grange. Born on May 7, 1935, in Moravia, she spent her childhood and early adulthood there, forming lasting bonds and memories that she would carry with her throughout her life.

Juanita Marie Craig Bambrick (“Nita”) lived to be 100 years old and blessed her family, friends, and everyone she met with her beauty, wisdom, charisma, warmth, and loving spirit. She was born in Pine Island, La. on Nov. 21, 1923, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 28, 2024.

Trent Joseph Pearson, 69, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024, in Austin. He was born on May 28, 1954, in Houston.

John Donald Sommer, of Round Rock, passed away on March 22, 2024, at the age of 90. John was born June 29, 1933, in Ellinger to the late Herbert and Rosie Sommer.

Paul David Fahrenthold peacefully passed away on Feb. 4, 2024, at the age of 86.

Ida Bess Howes, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully at her home in Round Top on March 22, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on May 19, 1932, in Dallas, the youngest of two daughters of Charles and LaNette Bennett.

AMass of Christian Burial for Vivian Marie (Mascheck) Friedel, 84, of Plum, is set for 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum. Interment will follow afterwards at the church cemetery. A Rosary will be recited preceding the Mass at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Please join us Monday evening, April 1, 2024, for a visitation to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
