Teddy “Ted” Royce Parks, passed away on Aug. 9, 2026, in Fort Worth, at All Saints Hospital, at the age of 84 following a brief illness. Ted was born on Sept. 2, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston to James Elmer Parks, Sr. and Minnie Carolyn Wellman Parks.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Irene Johnson Parks; son, Jason and wife Laurie, and son, Nathan; grandchildren, Caleb Parks, Ashleigh Thompson, Bethany Stork, and Cole Stork. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews including, Larry Parks, Cynthia Calleo, Patricia Gillespie, Kathy Janeway, Christopher Parks, Jimmy Parks, Shari Mallet, Margaret Abrams, Linda Nagel, Robert Wisian, Michael Parks, Gary Parks, Lisa Biehle, Sandra Hodge, Teresa Marin, Sharon Davidson, Ashley Waclawiak, Brian Johnson; and family friend Kenny Renke.

He is predeceased by his parents and siblings, James Parks, Jr., Kenneth Parks, Betty Wisian, Marvin Parks, Milton Parks, Eugene Parks, and Constance Hodge; nieces, Susan Currie and Tracy Johnson, and nephews, Kenny Shawn Parks and David Hodge.

Those who knew him best remember him as generous, friendly, witty, and wise. He volunteered with the Boy Scouts, at church, and as a long-time member of the Optimist Club.

He studied business at the University of Houston and went on to serve as a Vice President of Mischer Wholesale Corporation and later as Comptroller of Sharp Propane Co., positions in which he earned respect for his sound judgment and steady leadership.

Ted’s family and those who were blessed to know him will remember his encouragement, his wisdom, and the example he set through both word and deed.

Visitation with family is scheduled at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 19, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m.
