The Nutcracker Ballet will be returning to Festival Hill this December after a hiatus last year due to Covid shut downs. Here are the details: The Ovation Ballet Company, youth ballet company based in Austin will perform one show at the Festival Hill Concert Hall, Saturday Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at FestivalHill.org. No tickets will be sold at the door.

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) is proud to announce that Tracy Harris, president and chief executive officer of La Grange-based National Bank & Trust, has been elected to serve on the IBAT board of directors for a three-year term. She has been a member of the IBAT board since 2018 when she was appointed to the position by then-IBAT Chairman Ronnie Miller to fill a vacated seat. Harris will now continue that service as an elected board member. She officially accepted this position during the association’s 47th annual convention held September 18-21 in Austin.

The Fayette County Firefighter’s Association reports the following calls for the week of Sept. 26 through Oct.

St. John Lutheran Church of Ellinger, located at the corner of W. Fayette St. and Grover St., will be sponsoring its annual Roast Beef and Sausage Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 10. Peter’s BBQ will be catering the meal. Sides and desserts will also be served.

The Colorado County Citizen Columbus Police Department on Sept. 24 reported that three arrests were made in the Keaton Hancock murder case.
