The holidays are fast approaching with Thanksgiving right around the corner. This means that the Christmas season is not far away. Muldoon is preparing for that festive season with the annual Christmas in Muldoon. This is a slow paced celebration with lots of visiting with friends and family.

ARTS to Host Two Holiday Shows

This year Arts for Rural Texas will host two great holiday shows. One will be held at ARTS’ Ross Gallery and the second will be held at the Schulenburg ARTS Campus.

On Monday, Nov. 1, the La Grange and Winchester 4-H clubs presented checks to the Feed the Need organization. These checks will support the gobble kits that will be distributed to some families in the community. Remnant Church Holds Parent Appreciation

Wednesday, Nov. 3, The Remnant Church in La Grange showed appreciation to parents and volunteers for Youth Life Night by giving away free pulled-pork sandwiches, chips and water. Youth Life Night takes place in the Fall and Winter/Spring semesters on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Sacred Heart Celebrates Red Ribbon Week

Bluebonnet Lions President Jeannie Bertsch is shown here with Father Brian Phillips, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, presenting Red Ribbon wristbands to students at Sacred Heart Catholic School. Red Ribbon Week was celebrated Oct. 23-31 and the theme for 2021 is “Drug Free Looks Like Me.” Red Ribbon Week is the oldest, largest drug prevention program in the nation, reaching millions of young people each year.
