The holidays are fast approaching with Thanksgiving right around the corner. This means that the Christmas season is not far away. Muldoon is preparing for that festive season with the annual Christmas in Muldoon. This is a slow paced celebration with lots of visiting with friends and family.

The local Texas Ramp Project volunteers built a 42-foot ramp east of La Grange on Hwy. 71 to celebrate Veteran’s Day..

This year Arts for Rural Texas will host two great holiday shows. One will be held at ARTS’ Ross Gallery and the second will be held at the Schulenburg ARTS Campus.

On Monday, Nov. 1, the La Grange and Winchester 4-H clubs presented checks to the Feed the Need organization. These checks will support the gobble kits that will be distributed to some families in the community. Wednesday, Nov. 3, The Remnant Church in La Grange showed appreciation to parents and volunteers for Youth Life Night by giving away free pulled-pork sandwiches, chips and water. Youth Life Night takes place in the Fall and Winter/Spring semesters on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
