Mayor Picks ‘Pride of LG’ Quilts

Before last week’s Best Little Quilt Show in Texas packed visitors from all over the state into the KC Hall, La Grange mayor Jan Dockery faced the challenge of picking two of the 209 exhibited quilts as her “Pride of La Grange” honorees. The winner of her artisan award went this one (right) called “The Quilt from Hell!” so named because of the difficulty of making it. This bedrunner was entered by Sheri Sweet of Lexington and quilted by the late Sandra Grawunder. Photos by Jeff Wick
