Deputy Confiscates Meth

On Wednesday, April 27 at approximately 11:53 p.m. Deputy Jared Michalec conducted a traffic stop on a white 2001 Hyundai Accent for an equipment violation on Highway 71 eastbound near Makinson Road. After further investigation, the driver was found to be in possession of approximately 8.3 grams of methamphetamine. Tramayne Owen, 35, of Elgin, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
