Dan Mueller Wins Heated County Judge Runoff

Fayette County Republican voters picked Dan Mueller as their candidate in the Fayette County Judge race. Mueller defeated his opponent Craig Moreau in the primary runoff with 55.57 percent of the vote, according to unofficial election night results.

A high speed vehicle pursuit ended in La Grange Monday morning, May 23. The chase began when Investigator David Smith with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spotted a vehicle that ran off the road into the median on Interstate 10 near Flatonia.

City Manager Selection Committee Appointed

The La Grange Mayor Jan Dockery appointed a city manager selection committee at the City Council meeting Monday night, May 23. City Manager Shawn Raborn announced earlier this month that he plans to retire later this year.

May 24 Runoff Election Night Results

Dan Mueller has won the Republican primary runoff in the race for Fayette County Judge.

The Fayette County Elections Office posted unofficial vote totals shortly after 10 p.m. on Election Night, May 24. Those totals include 12 of the 12 precincts on Election Day plus early voting and absentee ballots.

According to the Elections Office, 29.83% of registered voters have cast ballots in the Republican and Democrat runoffs.
