The Remnant Church Hosts Annual Fourth of July Community Party
The annual Fourth of July Community Party, hosted by The Remnant Church, was again a success this year.
Even though fireworks were cancelled due to extreme dry conditions, festivities were enjoyed by all who attended. Hot dogs, watermelon, and sno-cones were served free of charge, and brisket tacos were also provided by one of TRC’s members.
Children enjoyed a giant dual lane waterslide and splash pad. Various scheduled games were played throughout the evening for adults, youth and kids, such as: Watermelon Seed Spittin’ Contest, Jump Rope Contest, Three-Legged Race, Bean Bag Toss and Kickball.
To conclude the event, TRC staff member, Rene Palacios performed The Star-Spangled Banner on his electric guitar and Pastor Kolbe Hill closed out with a prayer.
A huge thank you is ex tended to all the wonderful volunteers, givers, and staff that helped make this event a huge success. Shown here are pictures of the winners from each event.
