Leopard Band Already Back to Work

The La Grange Mighty Leopard Band held its first week of full band rehearsal, running July 25 through 29. Each day ran from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and consisted of full ensemble rehearsals outside in the morning when it was cooler, sectionals inside in the afternoon, and full ensemble rehearsals inside at the end of the day.

Folks concerned about the plans for a Christmas market and resort near Carmine can breathe a little easier. Back in February, California developer Dirk Winter came to the Fayette County Commissioners Court with plans to develop a 100-duplex Christmas market and resort on a 150-acre property along Fuchs Rd.

Turtle Wing Annual S’Wing And Shoot Ball Drop Sept. 20

The 3rd Annual Turtle S’Wing & Shoot will be occurring on Sept. 20, at the Big Easy Ranch in Columbus. This is Turtle Wing’s largest event of the year, with all proceeds going toward the mission of Turtle Wing Foundation. If you are unable to play in the tournaments, you can still support from home by participating in the ball drop. A maximum of 200 balls will be pre-sold for $20/ball or six for $100.
