Body Found at La Grange Sewer Plant

La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said officers found a deceased female at the end of Lowerline St. on Sunday, July 31.

Police are investigating it as a suspicious death, Gilbreath said, but there were no signs of foul play.

Gilbreath said investigators were working to identify the female and notify the next of kin.

Police had been searching the area for a woman who went missing last week.

On Sunday, Gilbreath could not say whether the deceased was the woman they were looking for until they positively identify the body.

The body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office, he said.

Gilbreath said the woman’s body was found inside the City’s sewer plant property on Lowerline St. He said there were no signs of trauma.

Gilbreath said he would release additional details later this week.
