On behalf of the Extension Beef and Forage Committees and host agents from Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Colorado, Fayette, Grimes, Lee, Waller, and Washington counties would like to invite you to join us for the 51st Annual South Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic on Friday, Oct. 28, at the Washington County Expo in Brenham. The Committee has worked diligently to put together an excellent program, great tradeshow, and live cattle demonstration for the event this year. The day will be jam packed with presentations and demonstrations from industry leading experts. We would like to share a small token of our appreciation for your support of agriculture and the Extension Service in the nine-county area by inviting you to join us. If you can join for the day or even just for lunch, please feel free to stop by. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts sponsored by Texas Farm Credit. The morning sessions will include presentations focused on sustainability of the cow herd and will conclude with a bar-b-que brisket and sausage lunch at 12 p.m. at the Washington County Expo Food Court sponsored in part by Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Saturday, Oct. 8, in the early morning hours, Deputy Jared Michalec and Sgt. Ryan Meagher responded to a suspicious vehicle call in Ellinger. Reported was a suspicious vehicle sitting in the driveway of a residence off of Tobias Street.
