LG Welcomes New Police Officer

Tuesday night the La Grange City Council welcomed Steven Haynie as the newest member of the La Grange Police Department. Haynie recently graduated from the Capitol Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) Police Academy. He was part of the academy’s Class No. 96, which began with 25 cadets and finished with 16 graduating officers. La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said Haynie began field training with the department this week. Haynie has family ties to West Point.
