Friends and neighbors of the La Grange businessman who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle wreck on June 29 are raising money to support his family. Visar Halilaj, the owner of Ere’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, has been in a medically-induced coma since the accident.

Fayette County EMS reports an increase in heat-related emergencies. “About 10 percent of calls we’re getting are heatrelated,” EMS Director Josh Vandever told the Record this week.
