Though recent rains have provided some welcome relief, drought continues across much of Central Texas and the Lower Colorado River Authority is urging everyone to be mindful about using water wisely. “Conserving water is a necessity in a semi-arid region like Central Texas,” said John Hofmann, LCRA executive vice president of water.

Transitioning to college can be an exciting yet intimidating experience for many high school students. With new and unknown academic and social challenges on the horizon, it’s normal for students to feel overwhelmed. The good news is that a summer bridge program can help alleviate some of the stress and make the transition to college easy and enjoyable. The Alliance for College & Career Student Success (ACCSS) is offering a unique Summer Bridge Program which has programming that targets all high school students, particularly those who are considering taking dual credit classes. Dual credit classes are taken while in high school and count as both a high school and a college credit. Through ACCSS, both academic and technical dual credit classes are offered through Blinn College for our ACCSS partner schools.
