Food Truck
Rome and Juliet by William Shakespeare will be presented by Camp Shakespeare at Winedale on Saturday, July 15 at 3 p.m. at La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10. Children 12 and under are free. For ticket reservations, contact Robin Grace Soto ( robingracesoto@utexas.edu). Reservations for the performances are recommended but not required. Tickets can be paid for at the door using cash, check, or card.
The Central Food truck will be in Fayetteville on Wednesday, July 12, at St John, Fayetteville, 10 to 11 a.m. It is a walk up distribution.
Family NIght
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville will have their family night fish fry on Saturday, July 15 at 5 p.m. Members are asked to bring desserts or appetizers.There will be a silent auction and members are asked to bring an item for this if they wish.
LGISD Tickets
Note date change: La Grange ISD Varsity Football Reserved Season Tickets holders from the 2022 season may purchase reserved tickets at the La Grange ISD Administration Building, 560 N. Monroe, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, starting July 24 through July 27. Closed Friday. The second week of sales will be July 31 through Aug. 4. The cost of each set of reserved season tickets is $50 for five home games. Current reserved season tickets not claimed during this time will go on sale to the public Aug. 7, 2023. Call (979) 968-7000 with any questions. The reason for the date change is due to the Admin. Bldg. having the roof replaced the week of July 17.
There’s more For anyone struggling with the Parkinson’s disease movement disorder, the group has reactivated in La Grange the third Thursday of every month for patients and caregivers. Feed The Need
Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.

American Legion Post #102 & Auxiliary
TheAmerican Legion Post No. 102 and theAmerican Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 102 will meet for their regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 12, at 6 p.m. at the VFW Home located at Veterans Memorial Drive at the Fair Grounds in La Grange. The Girls’State delegate and the Boys’State delegates have been invited to attend and give a brief report of their experience at their respective sessions held in June, prior to the meeting. Members are encouraged to attend to discuss regular business matters. New potential members are invited to attend. A light meal will be served prior to the business meeting.
Round Top Family Library Programs The Round Top Family Library invites the community to their following free programs during the month of July: Chess Club meets Wednesdays at 1 p.m.; July 13 at 4 p.m., Uncle Jumbo; July 20 at 4 p.m., Balloon Storyteller; July 21 at 10 a.m., Barn Quilt Class (registration required); July 27 at 2:30 p.m., All Together Dance Party; and July 29 at 10 a.m., Adult Painting Class (registration required). Food Truck at Waldeck
The Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church located at the Junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145 on Saturday, July 15 from 10 until 11 a.m. Food distribution will be walk-up method. Volunteers will distribute the food from tables as clients walk-thru the line making their selections. Every client needs to bring their own sturdy reusable bags, boxes, or plastic tubs. Wagons will be furnished by Central Texas Food Bank.
ARTS International 2023 “Road Trips” ARTS celebrates the beauty of the world through artistic expression found on Road Trips. This exhibit runs July 15 through Sept. 16 at ARTS Gorman Gallery, 1201 Kessler Ave. in Schulenburg.
La Grange Farm Bureau Meeting
The La Grange Farm Bureau is having their annual dinner and meeting on Tuesday, July 18 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds EH kitchen. Social begins at 6 p.m. meal to begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the Fayette County Farm Bureau office.
VFW Post No. 5254 & Auxiliary On Tuesday, July 18 meetings of the La Grange Fayette Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 5254 and Auxiliary will be held at the VFW Home in La Grange. Meeting time for the VFW Auxiliary is 5 p.m. A joint light meal will be at 6 p.m., followed by the VFW Post meeting. New potential members are invited to attend.
