KC Council 3168 Plans 26th Annual Shrimp Boil Friday

The Fayetteville-Ellinger Knights of Columbus Council 3168 are holding their 26th Annual Fayetteville/Ellinger KC Shrimp Boil under the pavilion at St. John’s Catholic Church on Friday, May 15. Enjoy shrimp and all the fixings, ice cold beer, a Card Gun Raffle and a silent auction while the Airplane Band rocks the house.

Senior Class Celebration at First Presbyterian Church in La Grange

Wednesday evening First Presbyterian Church honored our senior class graduates with a pizza party. Many members of the church gathered to celebrate this special occasion in the lives of LGISD graduates Oliver Gunn and Hannah Garrison, and to present them with cards and letters of encouragement and congratulations. Church members are so honored to have been a part of the lives of these wonderful two faithful young members as they have grown and matured in our congregation. Rev. Gordon and his flock can’t wait to watch them as they move into the next phase of their lives.

$1.2 Million Awarded to LHS Graduating Seniors Last Week

La Grange High School hosted its annual Scholarship Assembly on Thursday, May 7. Graduating seniors received a grand total of $1,242,800 in scholarships to continue their education after high school. Of that amount, $446,800 were from local area organizations. Scholarships from colleges and universities totaled $471,000 One of the graduating seniors, Faith Greenwood, is enlisting in the U.S. Navy, and she received a military incentives package worth up to $325,000. Derby Day Dinner Raises Support for Round Top Family Library

On a picture-perfect Kentucky Derby evening last Saturday, Round Top Family Library supporters gathered for an unforgettable “Run for the Roses” Derby Day Dinner hosted by John Cone and Greg Fourticq, owners of the beautiful Red Antler Hotel in Round Top. The sold-out event benefitted Round Top Family Library and celebrated the very best of community, generosity, hospitality, and timeless Derby tradition. Following the previous day’s soaking spring rains, guests were welcomed by ideal weather and glowing sunshine as cocktail hour began poolside surrounding the stunning James Cabana.
