Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 will meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall located in Ammannsville. Food and refreshments will be available after the meeting. Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Shelter Has 74 Cats, 71 Dogs In Care

As of Aug 2, the total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter for 2024 is 1017: 440 dogs and 577 cats in need. As of Aug. 2, the shelter has 145 animals in care: 71 dogs/74 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

The Mighty Leopard Band is headed to the Big Apple for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in March of 2025.
