400+ Acres Burn in Bastrop County

A massive wildfire was burning in Bastrop County Sunday.

As of 8:50 p.m. Sunday night 400 acres had burned and the fire was only 10-percent contained.

The fire, called the Hudson Fire, was burning south of Park Road 1C in the Cottletown and Alum Creek areas, where evacuations were taking place.

At least seven bulldozers and 20 fire trucks were fighting the fire.

Shelters had been set up at the Smithville Recreation Center (for people) and Mayfield Park (for animals).
